Join this warm and welcoming session to learn more about Torah and other Jewish texts you may come across working in a Jewish Early Childhood environment. Whether this is your first encounter with Jewish culture or you’re looking for a refresh from your Hebrew School days, this session is perfect for you. We will explore how these books and texts came to be the foundation of Jewish practice and you’ll leave feeling well equipped to navigate future experiences in your school and with the families in your community.

Sarah Ruderman Wilensky is the Director, Programs & Education at Honeycomb, part of the Jewish Funders Network, and on the Professional Learning Team at the Paradigm Project. Previously, she served as the Director of Organizational Partnerships at PJ Library, part of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation. Sarah has a background as an educator with expertise in child development, literacy, facilitation, and adult and family engagement. Earlier in her career, Sarah was the Jewish Educator at the JCCs of Greater Boston.

In addition, Sarah has written for many online and print publications, including The Forward, JewishBoston.com, the Covenant Foundation’s SightLine, Parenting Through a Jewish Lens, 18Doors.com, and others; about Jewish Education, Jewish food, holidays, values, and parenting. Sarah is currently a Vice President of the Board of Trustees at Temple Shalom of Newton and the Treasurer of the Masstars. She has an undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College in Musical Theater Performance and studied in the M.A.R.E. program at HUC-JIR. Sarah lives outside of Boston with her spouse, two children, and a dog, Bowie.
